The SDI Open Water Scuba Diver Course is an entry-level certification course lasting 5 weeks and is designed to give you the necessary skills to safely conduct open water dives. Some of the many skills you will learn include buoyancy, proper weighting, marine conservation, equipment assembly, proper dive planning, and maintenance. The course covers all the basic knowledge about equipment, physiology and the marine environment while training students to perform basic skills underwater. SDI On-line Training (e-link)

Scubility Training

If you think you can't learn to scuba dive due to a disability, think again! We offer scuba diving under the SDI Scubility Program that will teach you and your family members how to dive safely and have way to enjoy the underwater world. We fly our divers through the water with certified Scubility buddies and feel the weightless and freedom underwater. As one of our divers stated this past class, "After my accident I felt I couldn't connect with my kids anymore because I was confined to a wheelchair but, with the help from this Scubility program, it gave me a way to reconnect with the kids, dive without pain and enjoy quality time with my family." A group of divers also said that they feel at peace underwater and have no paid and the "chatter" goes away. Why not learn from our well trained SDI Scubility Instructors and experience what diving is all about and enjoy reconnecting with nature.

Master all the important academic information. Traditionally, this required several hours of formal classroom training.  Now, through on-line training, you can complete this phase through self-study, at your own pace, in the convenience of your home or office. Scubility Training done here!

Get Wet

For entry-level certification courses (as well as some continuing-education classes), the next step will be to complete your in-water skill-development training. This takes place in a swimming pool or similar body of confined water, under the supervision of an SDI Instructor.

Go Diving!

The final step is to complete the required number of open-water training dives under the supervision of your SDI Instructor.  Here you will apply what you have learned during your academic and skill development sessions, while learning practical lessons that can be gained through real-world experience in open water.

SDI Nitrox Course

Longer Bottom Times. Shorter Surface Intervals. These are among the many benefits of diving Nitrox - a mixture of nitrogen and oxygen in which the concentration of oxygen is greater than that found in air. You’ve no doubt have heard of Nitrox, probably know divers who use it. You also know that using Nitrox safely requires special training and certification.  The Class is one-night in length, you may either take this class at our SDI center or you may register for this class online.

SDI Solo Diver

One of SDI’s most popular courses, the solo diver program teaches experienced recreational divers how to safely dive independently of a dive buddy or strengthen your buddy team skills.  The course stresses on proper dive planning, personal limitations, accident prevention as well as the benefits, hazards, and proper procedures for diving solo.  You will also learn the additional equipment that is required for solo diving including it’s proper usage and assembly..  This is the perfect course for underwater photography and underwater video divers.

SDI Full Face Mask

Divers often have a need or want to effectively communicate underwater.  The SDI Full Face Mask Diver Course is the perfect starting point. Full face masks are also often used waters with low visibility that may be contaminated or waters that are colder - the full face mask will protect youfrom the elements. You will learn what mask is right for you, how to don a full face mask, and care and maintenance along with many other topics of interest.

SDI Underwater Archaeology Course

Course requires Open Water Certification. This course will introduce you to the established principles, techniques, procedures and methods that are used in properly conducting an underwater archeological survey.
